The Caribbean Princess is in Cancun’s hotel zone and overlooks the beautiful Nichupte lagoon. The hotel has some activities and amenities but if you are looking for stuff to keep you occupied the entire time you’re there, you may have to take a bus ride into downtown Cancun, where there are some malls and entertainment centres, as there really isn’t much in this package, considering that it is in Cancun and sits in the higher end of the price range.

This hotel has 2 swimming pools, one for adults and one for children and unfortunately, the children’s pool is the only specialty that the resort offers for the younger crowd. There is also a waterslide, pool bar, and poolside whirlpool bath. If you’re looking for daytime entertainment around the resort, here there are very few but they include kayaking, table tennis, a mini gym, and structured games around the pool. The evening entertainment is described on the www.thomsonbeach.co.uk website as ‘low key’ and the Eclipse lobby bar is also available to share a cocktail with a friend during the evening hours. Meals will be provided by the Sunset Restaurant, which does have the advantage of having both a buffet as well as an a la carte menu and Otto’s snack bar is also ready for when you need to nosh in between meals!

The all-inclusive package meets just the bare necessities to be considered ‘all-inclusive’ but do include full board and snacks. Some food and alcohol are provided but these too have restrictions on them. For £819, you can probably find a better deal to Cancun.
